LEISURE: That’s a big bonfire!

HUNDREDS of people will be descending on the Yeovil Showground on Saturday (November 4, 2017) evening for the annual bonfire and fireworks display – organised by the Yeovil Round Table and Yeovil Lions Club.

Among the crowds will be some super heroes – apart from the actual organisers themselves – with Batman, Robin and Catwoman, plus the all-important batmobile.

Gates open at 5.30pm with the massive bonfire which has been assembled being lit at 6.15pm.

There will be live music with Oasis tribute band Oas-is from 6.45pm before the fireworks show starts at 8pm.

People are reminded that the above times are approximate and subject to change.

The charities to benefit from this year’s event are the Yeovil Hospital Charity’s Special Care Baby Unit and the Apollo Swimming Club.

There will also be a funfair, hog roast and burger bar and beer and cider bar for people to enjoy.

Tickets are available on the gate with a family ticket of two adults and two children priced £22, adults £9 and children £5.
