GLOVERS NEWS: Penalty shoot-out win for Yeovil Town

YEOVIL Town beat a Chelsea Under-21 side in a penalty shoot-out on Wednesday (October 25, 2017) in their latest Checkatrade Trophy Group Stage match.

The game had finished 1-1 with Sam Surridge giving Yeovil the lead on 22 minutes, only for Chelsea to respond 12 minutes later through Luke McCormick.

An extra “bonus point” was decided on penalties and Yeovil emerged victorious 5-3 with Alefe Santos, Sam Surridge, Otis Khan, Olufela Olomola and Francois Zoko all scoring for the Glovers.
