GLOVERS NEWS: Historic match for Yeovil Town Ladies

YEOVIL Town Ladies begin the new challenge of their first season in the top tier of women’s football on Sunday (September 24, 2017) when they play host to Manchester City at Huish Park.

The match in the FA Women’s Super League One Winter Series kicks-off at 2pm and the club is expecting a large crowd at Huish Park for the afternoon.

Tickets have been bought by some fans in advance but supporters wanting to buy tickets have to go to turnstile three and pay by cash. Turnstiles are open from 12.30pm.

The cost of tickets on the day are £7 for adults, £3 concessions and £16 for a family ticket.

The Glovers Trust supporters group is the Match Sponsors for this game. Representatives will be at the game to give out information about the organisation.

A Glovers Trust spokesman said: “We are proud and keen to promote the sponsorship of the Yeovil Town Ladies match against Manchester City as much as possible.

“There is much anticipation of a large attendance and the Trust has been allowed visibility and access to areas far and above that of which we have become accustomed to.

“We are therefore keen to make maximum use of this opportunity to promote the Trust and recruit further members whilst supporting the Ladies in the next chapter of their history.”

The Mayor and Mayoress of Yeovil, Cllr Darren Shutler and his wife Anna, will also be the match on Sunday to show their support to the Yeovil Town Ladies.

“We’d like to wish Yeovil Town Ladies a successful first season in the top division of English women’s football and let’s hope for a perfect start with a win on Sunday,” said the Mayor.
