GLOVERS NEWS: Family football festival as Yeovil Town take on Bristol City

HUISH Park is hosting a Family Football Festival this Saturday (July 15, 2017) as Yeovil Town hold their first pre-season friendly at home.

The Glovers take on Sky Bet Championship outfit Bristol City in a 3pm kick-off which will allow Yeovil boss Darren Way another look at a number of players hoping to win a contract at Huish Park for the forthcoming season.

But there will be plenty going on at Huish Park other than the Yeovil v City match.

With music and refreshments available as well as the upstairs bars open for all from 12 noon, the football begins from mid-morning.

Local Under-11 teams are taking part in a tournament from 10.30am on the top pitch while Yeovil Town Community Sports Trust hold a tournament on the 3G from 1pm, with the respective finals played on the hallowed Huish Park pitch at half-time of Yeovil’s game with Bristol City.

The Junior Glovers Family Cabin will be open allowing young supporters to enjoy a host of activities including Fifa 17, before the main event which sees Darren Way's side test themselves against Lee Johnson's Robins, who'll be boasting record signing Famara Diedhiou for the first time since completing his £5.3m move from Angers SCO.

All of Town's new signings will be on display as preparation continues for the Sky Bet League Two season, with under-16s able to enjoy FREE entry to take in all the action.

After full time, supporters will be able to head down the tunnel and enjoy a one-off tour of the dressing rooms and first-team facilities, where the manager and the squad will be waiting.

Parking is available on site for £2 with tickets for the match costing £8 (adults) and £4 (concessions). Programmes will be available priced at £1.
