LEISURE: Big decisions to be made by Amy and her family

A TALENTED dancer from Yeovil is celebrating a string of successes on the dance floor including the offer of some great opportunities to further her aspirations.

Amy Williams who attends The Dance Factory in Yeovil, recently attended with friends one of the biggest dance conventions in Bath and the children took part in several workshops in different genres.

The 15-year-old was delighted to be scouted by Morea Performing Arts during a commercial jazz workshop who offered her a scholarship to attend its summer school in Scotland. Amy is extremely pleased to have been offered such a wonderful opportunity.

Following this amazing achievement Amy was offered the opportunity to audition for one of the top performing arts schools in the country even though she is only 15 and usually most people audition at 16 or 18-years-old.

Amy auditioned for Stella Mann Performing Arts and was ecstatic to find out she had been offered a full-time place to commence further training in September.

She and her family now have some big decisions make about her exciting future.

Amy's dance teachers, Stephanie and Laura Bacon, said: “So proud of Amy who has found her pathway and is having an amazing few months.

“Her hard work and focus is showing in her achievements. Amy has shown great determination to reach her goals and fulfil her dreams of having a professional career in the dance world. She certainly has a very bright future ahead and we will continue to support her.”
