LEISURE: Yeovil Beer Festival – frequently asked questions and answers

THE Yeovil Beer Festival 2017 has arrived and the Westlands Yeovil venue will probably experience its busiest weekend so far since reopening late last month.

The festival – which is being held at the newly-refurbished and revamped Westlands Yeovil venue in Westbourne Close on Friday (April 21, 2017) and Saturday, April 22, 2017 – is once again going to be an enjoyable couple of days for hundreds of people.

There will be more than 80 real ales available to sample along with 20-plus ciders, while there will also be an abundance of live music over two stages and refreshments.LEISURE: Yeovil Beer Festival – frequently asked questions and answers Photo 1

The Yeovil Round Table and Yeovil Lions Club have co-ordinated the event since the first festival in 2013 and so far the previous four beer festivals have helped to raise more than £40,000 for local charities.

But here are some answers to some questions you might be wanting to ask the organisers.

Will you run out of beer/cider? The aim of any Festival is for the last pint to be poured to the last person who wants one but it is impossible to judge this precisely. Individual beers and ciders will run out as the festival progresses and the earlier you come the more likely you are to find the ones you want to try are still on.

What time does the festival open/close? 21st April 2017,  6pm – 11pm;  22nd April 2017, Noon – 5pm & 6pm - 11pm.

Are under 18’s permitted at the festival? Persons under the age of 18 years will not be permitted ticketed entry to the festival. We support challenge 25 so please bring photographic ID with you if you look under the age of 25. In the event that a person under the age of 18 attempts to enter the festival with a pre-paid ticket that individual will be denied entry to the festival.

Are there any other entry restrictions? The Yeovil Beer Festival is a member of Yeovil Pubwatch and their rules of entry will apply.LEISURE: Yeovil Beer Festival – frequently asked questions and answers Photo 2
