GLOVERS FLASHBACK FRIDAY: Dagenham & Redbridge 0, Yeovil Town 4 - April 21, 2003

WELCOME to the Glovers Flashback Friday feature where we look back at a Yeovil Town game on this day in history from down the years.

In this game we go back 14 years to the penultimate league game of Yeovil’s glorious Nationwide Conference winning season of 2002-03.

Yeovil had already clinched the Conference nine days previously just prior to winning 4-0 at Doncaster Rovers.

They then followed that up with a 6-1 thrashing of Burton Albion on Easter Saturday (April 19, 2017) before heading to Dagenham and Redbridge on Easter Monday (April 21, 2017).

It proved to be another afternoon of fantasy football for the Glovers as they romped to a 4-0 success with a hat-trick from Kirk Jackson and one from Kevin Gall.

It was an imperial performance from the Glovers and their hosts – who finished fifth that season – could only look on as spectators.

Before the kick-off the home officials had presented Yeovil’s travelling hierarchy with mementoes celebrating their title winning achievements, while the Dagenham & Redbridge players formed a guard of honour as the Glovers ran out onto the pitch.

It was a fantastic gesture and one which many who was there that day will remember.
