GLOVERS NEWS: Play up Yeovil Town, Yeovil Town Play Up!

YEOVIL Town will be looking to gain a surprise win on Saturday (April 8, 2017) when they travel to face automatic-promotion chasing Portsmouth at Fratton Park.

After the debacle of Exeter City a fortnight ago where Yeovil managed to throw a 3-0 lead away with just two minutes to go and then a hugely disappointing 2-0 defeat at home to Carlisle United last Saturday (April 1, 2017), Glovers’ boss Darren Way will be hoping for a positive response.

But it will not be easy at Fratton Park where Pompey are looking to gain automatic promotion to League One.

Things are looking good for Portsmouth, who are currently third, as they are six points above fourth-placed Stevenage Borough with six matches to be played.

But Pompey will not be taking anything for granted against lowly Yeovil who go into the game down in 19th spot.

Yeovil are on 46 points and are currently ten points above the relegation zone, so although not mathematically assured yet of League Two safety a win for the Glovers at Fratton Park would certainly put them within touching distance.
