SCHOOL NEWS: Pupils get moving at sports centre

PRESTON Primary School pupils in Yeovil got moving at Preston Sports Centre to do their bit for a global campaign to fight inactivity and obesity.

The Technogym Lets Move for a Better World campaign involves 18 countries and hundreds of sports centres in the UK including Preston Sports Centre.

Under the scheme the number of moves are logged at each centre and if they reach a designated target of moves then leisure trust 1610 - which manages 19 leisure centres in the South West - will win some gym equipment which 1610 then donates to local schools. The campaign finishes on March 31, 2017.

The pupils from Preston Primary School in Yeovil had fun together taking part in a special Superhero work out devised by the team at 1610 which manages Preston Sports Centre.
