YEOVIL NEWS: Toaster on fire

FIREFIGHTERS were called out on Friday (March 24, 2017) following reports of a fire in a kitchen at a home in Yeovil.

The alarm was raised at just before 2.45pm to the incident in Manor Road, Yeovil, and two fire engines from the town were mobilised.

On arrival the firefighters found that a toaster was on fire in the kitchen and they quickly dealt with the situation.

The officers used a ventilation fan to clear the smoke which was logging the property.

“The kitchen sustained light smoke damage and the electrics were isolated by the crews on scene,” said a Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service.
