BUSINESS: Crewkerne firms to help develop action plan of local economic projects

BUSINESSES in Crewkerne will soon be asked to give their thoughts and opinions to find out what issues are important to firms in and around the town.

South Somerset District Council is working with the A Better Crewkerne & District group to consult with businesses during March. The information provided will be used to help identify local projects and actions that can benefit the town’s economy.

ABCD will use the data collected to apply for grants to fund the work identified from the consultation. The more completed forms received, the easier it will be to persuade funders and other relevant organisations, to support the actions needed to benefit businesses in and around Crewkerne.

Diane Butler, chairman of ABCD, said: “The future of the town relies on a thriving economy if Crewkerne is not to become a dormitory town for elsewhere.

“ABCD needs to understand the needs of local businesses in order to help future proof the economy of Crewkerne.”BUSINESS: Crewkerne firms to help develop action plan of local economic projects
