YEOVIL NEWS: Dodgy TVs allegedly being sold from the back of a van

POLICE have arrested a couple on suspicion of theft and handling stolen goods.

It follows a police investigation into reports of TVs being sold from the back of van in car parks in Yeovil.

A police spokesman said: “A man and woman arrested have been released on police bail, pending further enquiries.

“Our action followed reports that the couple were selling the televisions in the Lysander Road car park near Morrisons and McDonalds and the Houndstone car park near to Currys. We seized the van.

“We understand a number of people may have been approached by the couple and were offered or sold television sets and would like these people to contact us.”

The van was a silver/grey coloured VW Caddy.
