BUSINESS: Five years old and going strong

THERE is a saying that from small acorns grow mighty oaks and that could be said of Yeovil-based Sterling Care which is celebrating its fifth anniversary.

The firm will be holding an anniversary party on Wednesday (February 1, 2017) at the Yeovil Day Centre in South Street, Yeovil, from 1.30pm to 3.30pm with proceeds being donated to Dementia UK.BUSINESS: Five years old and going strong

It will be an opportunity for carers, clients, care professionals and the general public to learn more about the work of Sterling Care which was launched in March 2012 and provides palliative care, personal care, meal preparation and other services for people in need.

Local businesses have supported the anniversary party by donating raffle prizes and there will also be entertainment during the afternoon and an activities table, as well as refreshments.

There will be “old time music” from 1.30pm followed by the choir of Huish Primary School at 2pm along with help from Year Nine students from Buckler’s Mead Academy.

A game of bingo will be played at 2.30pm and the raffle will be drawn at 3pm.
