SOUTH SOMERSET NEWS: Man needs medical treatment after kitchen fire
EMERGENCY services were called out in the early hours of Sunday (January 22, 2017) following reports of a kitchen on fire at a home in Ilchester.
Fire engines from Yeovil, Somerton and Martock were mobilised after getting a call for help just before 1am.
On arrival at the scene in Great Orchard the firefighters found a fire in the kitchen where utensils had been left on a cooker ring.
“We administered oxygen therapy to a male suffering from smoke inhalation until the arrival of the ambulance personnel,” said a Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service spokesman.
