GLOVERS NEWS: Yeovil Town gain a point at Wycombe

YEOVIL Town had to settle for a share of the spoils on Saturday (January 14, 2017) when they drew 1-1 at Wycombe Wanderers in the Sky Bet League Two.

The Glovers opened the scoring when Kevin Dawson netted his spot-kick on 20 minutes which was awarded after Francois Zoko was fouled inside the area.

But Wycombe bounced back soon afterwards when they too were awarded a penalty and Joe Jacobson placed his effort past Yeovil keeper Artur Krysiak.

Although Wycombe were probably the better of the two sides, Yeovil deservedly held out for a point – although it now means the Glovers have gone six matches in League Two without a victory.

The result saw Yeovil down in 16th spot in the table.
