SOMERSET NEWS: Anybody lost some children’s bedroom furniture?

THE Environment Agency has put out an appeal for information about a stack of bedroom furniture which has been found floating down a waterway in Somerset.

Officers from the EA found, what appears, to be a full children’s bedroom set at Walton Sluice which controls the flow of the Eighteen Foot Rhyne near Compton Dundon which sits in between Street and Somerton.

“Our field team fished it out on Tuesday (January 10, 2017) night before it could become a blockage,” said an EA spokesman based at the group’s Wessex Region in Bridgwater.

Although it clearly looks like an act of fly-tipping – the EA have put out a cheeky request on social media.

The EA has asked: “To the person who seems to have lost it – where should we return it?”

Anyone with information can phone the Environment Agency Wessex on 0370-850-6506.
