THE Mayor and Mayoress of Yeovil would like to thank everyone who attended their charity ball at RNAS Yeovilton.YEOVIL NEWS: Mayor’s charity ball is a big success

Cllr Darren Shutler and his wife, Anna, were delighted to welcome over 200 guests to the new officer’s mess for the charity ball which was held on Saturday (November 26, 2016) to raise funds for St Margaret’s Somerset Hospice and the School in a Bag organisation.

“I would like to thank each and every one of those people who attended the ball on Saturday night and supporting my two fantastic charities,” said the Mayor.

“A special thank you must go to Leonardo Helicopters who kindly print all the literature for my charity events.

“Thank you also to our ball hosts RNAS Yeovilton for letting us hire the wonderful new mess.

“I would also like to thank St Margaret’s Hospice and the School in a Bag team for attending and helping out on the night.”

Cllr Shutler also thank Lucy Jones and all the staff at Yeovil Town Council for their support.

Diners were able to enjoy a fun casino, silent auction, main auction, tombola, and live music with BA22.

Among the auction prizes were a hot air balloon flight, tea on the lawn at Westminster, a weekend break and London show, golf day for four people, and a hospitality package for a match at Yeovil Town FC.
