 YEOVIL NEWS: Arsonists to blame for car fire?

POLICE are investigating after arsonists are believed to have started a car fire in Yeovil during the early hours of Monday (November 28, 2016) morning.

The alarm was raised at just before 5am to the problem in Wellington Street and one fire engine from Yeovil was mobilised.

Firefighters confirmed one vehicle to be well alight and they quickly got to work to deal with the situation.

“Police were requested to attend due to possible deliberate ignition,” said a spokesman for the Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service.

“The vehicle was severely damaged by the fire and duty of care was left with the owner of the vehicle and the police.”
