YEOVIL NEWS: Fire in underground cupboard at Old Cattle Market site

FIREFIGHTERS have dealt with a fire at a commercial building in Yeovil this afternoon (Sunday, October 23, 2016).

Two fire engines from Yeovil were called out to make the short trip up the road from their station to the Old Cattle Market site in Reckleford following reports of a fire at around 2pm.

On arrival the crews found a commercial building with smoke coming from it and a fire was discovered inside an “underground cupboard.”

The firefighters quickly got to work to put the fire out, but the cupboard was totally destroyed in the fire and the “underground cavities” were also damaged by smoke.
