INVESTIGATIONS are underway at the Highbridge Caravan Centre to find out what caused a fire to break out which has caused massive damage.

The Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service has reported this morning (Saturday, October 1, 2016) that around 160 caravans had been “destroyed or damaged” in the incident.

It was around 1.30am when the Fire Service first started receiving reports of a fire having broken out at the caravan centre in Bristol Road, Highbridge.

Despite intensive efforts by the emergency services to battle the blaze, the fire ravaged the caravan centre.

These dramatic photos of the fire were taken by David J. Whatley and he has given us permission to use them on this website.
