SOMERSET NEWS: Woman falls through ceiling

A WOMAN fell through the ceiling of a home in Bridgwater this afternoon (Friday, August 19, 2016) after walking around in the loft.

Firefighters were called out at 4.40pm after getting a call from ambulance paramedics for assistance to the incident at a property in Turner Close.

It is understood that a lady had fallen 8ft through the ceiling from the loft and had landed on a bannister.

A Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: “Paramedics were tending to the lady when we arrived at the scene.

“We assisted with the casualty before making the area and electrics safe. Duty of care was then left with the paramedics.”
