SCHOOL NEWS: Dressed to impress for Buckler’s Mead Academy’s Year 11 Prom

STUDENTS dressed in their finest outfits and suits tonight (Thursday, June 30, 2016) for the annual Year 11 Prom for Buckler’s Mead Academy in Yeovil.

The event was held at Haselbury Mill and the young people arrived in a whole manner of various forms of transport such as motorbikes, stretched limousines, sports cars, tractors, camper vans, vintage cars.

Family and friends looked on and took photos aplenty with school staff keen to say final farewells to the Class of 2016.

The boys looked smart in their suits, while the girls looked glamorous in their amazing dresses and there were plenty of parents beaming with pride and possibly shedding an emotional tear or two at seeing their children look so grown up.

The weather stayed dry – thankfully – while the students arrived at Haselbury Mill before they went into the venue’s Tithe Barn for their celebratory dinner.
