SCHOOL NEWS: Party time for Westfield Academy’s Year 11 Prom

THE rain held off – just – for the annual Year 11 Prom for students from Westfield Academy in Yeovil this evening (Wednesday, June 29, 2016).

The students, who have just completed their GCSEs, arrived at Haselbury Mill in a vast array of vehicles.

They were dressed in their finest attire and met by family and friends – plus teachers – before having an endless stream of photos taken on the lawn outside the Mill’s fabulous Tithe Barn.

It was not long after they ventured into the venue for their celebration meal and party that the heavens opened and the rain began to fall.

It was as if someone was kindly looking over Westfield’s Class of 2016 to make sure that their big arrival was not spoiled.
