SOMERSET NEWS: Firefighters called out to deal with microwave fire

FIREFIGHTERS were called out in the early hours of this morning (Monday, June 13, 2016) following reports of a microwave fire at a home near Taunton.

The alarm was raised at just after midnight when the owner of a property in Healys Meadow, Cotford St Luke, phoned the Fire Service to report smoke in her kitchen.

Firefighters discovered a small fire in a microwave which was already out by the time they had arrived.

The cause of the fire was accidental.
