HOME FARM FEST 2016: Edge of Knowhere look forward to playing the Lloyd Lounge

ILMINSTER band Edge of Knowhere will be performing at the popular Home Farm Festival tonight (Friday, June 10, 2016) near Yeovil.

The Home Farm Fest raises funds for the Piers Simon Appeal and its School in a Bag initiative at Chilthorne Domer and features more than 70 singers and bands and a whole host of other fun activities for all the family.

Edge of Knowhere – led by lead singer Courteney Yeoell – will be performing in the Lloyd Lounge this evening from 8pm to 9pm having made their debut at Home Farm Fest last year on the Dutch Barn stage.

Courteney said: “We’re really looking forward to playing Home Farm Fest again and especially so in the Lloyd Lounge.”

The Lloyd Lounge is supported by Yeovil Press – the sister website of Ilminster Press.

The festival runs through to Sunday, June 12, 2016.

Throughout the weekend there will be more than 70 bands appearing over five stages, plus a whole lot more besides for people to enjoy – food from around the world, licensed bars, a cider tent, playart, Fun Zone, Bugfest, a children’s cinema and disco, climbing wall, tea and cakes.

Among the activity providers will be Richard Godden, of Ilminster's The Green House, who will be leading the Play Art section for younger festival-goers to enjoy.

The School in a Bag project has come about from the Piers Simon Appeal which was formed soon after the 2004 Boxing Day tsunami in which hundreds of thousands of people were killed including former Yeovil College student Piers Simon. The SIAB initiative sees schoolbags filled with everyday education items such as pens, pencils and paper – plus eating utensils – and are sent out to poor and orphaned children around the globe.

Tickets can still be bought at the gate. Ticket prices are as follows: Weekend – Adult £45; Child (6-17) £22.50; Infants (5 and under) Free.

Friday Night – Adult £17; Child (6-17) £8.50; Infants (5 and under) Free.
