YEOVIL NEWS: Dog gets stuck in mud in River Yeo

FIREFIGHTERS were called out this afternoon (Monday, May 30, 2016) to help rescue a dog stuck in mud at the River Yeo in Yeovil.

The dog’s owner called the emergency services at 1.45pm to the incident near the Yeo Leisure Park and two fire engines from Yeovil along with the specialist rescue team from Bridgwater were mobilised.

“We were able to coax the dog to the side of the river bank and able to rescue the dog,” said a spokesman for the Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service.
