THE Yeovil Library will be welcoming the Librarian Theatre to town later this month to coincide with the 400th anniversary of the death of prolific playwright William Shakespeare.

The Librarian Theatre will be performing on Monday, April 25, 2016, at 7.30pm The Book’s the Thing’ - a retelling of Hamlet by William Shakespeare…but as it’s never been seen before.

The show, which is touring UK libraries in spring 2016, is a fast-paced hour long play performed by a cast of just three.

This will make a great introduction to the Elizabethan text and seasoned Shakespeare fans will love this refreshing new take on a classic too.

Cllr David Hall, of Somerset County Council, said: “Somerset Libraries are delighted to be working in partnership with the Librarian Theatre.

“This event brings a professional theatre company to the Yeovil community, helping to promote reading and literacy. We look forward to what should be a very entertaining evening.”

Tickets cost £7.50 or £4.50 for concessions (OAPs and under 16s).
