The Douglas Macmillan unit at Yeovil Hospital provides a range of cancer treatments including chemotherapy and they provide care and support to cancer patients and their families.

A spokesman for the Yeovil Hospital Charity and Yeovil Heartbeat group said: “The principal is to maintain an outpatient cardiac rehabilitation unit where patients who have suffered a heart attack, have had heart surgery or other heart-related conditions can undergo a beneficial and progressive exercise programme whilst being monitored by a cardiac nurse and physiotherapist.”
