YEOVIL NEWS: Persimmon say buyers are snapping up homes on Agusta Park estate

A SECOND phase of construction has begun at a housing development on the outskirts of Yeovil – after the first properties to be built were snapped up in a matter of months.

Persimmon Homes South West’s Agusta Park development, off New Road at the Lufton Key Site at Brympton, has proved popular with house hunters since its launch in June last year. Just a few of the initial 42 properties released to the market are left to be sold.

Now Persimmon has started work on a second phase of 64 properties, which are now available to buy off-plan.

Marie Abbott, sales manager at Persimmon Homes South West, said: “We’re delighted to announce the launch of the second phase of development at Agusta Park.YEOVIL NEWS: Persimmon say buyers are snapping up homes on Agusta Park estate

“This is a lovely site set in attractive countryside - yet less than three miles from the centre of Yeovil.

“We have a good mix of properties from two bedrooms to five bedrooms and as a result we’ve had all sorts of people purchasing, from first time buyers to growing families.

“We’d be delighted to show people what’s available on phase two – and buying off-plan gives you the chance to personalise certain fixtures and fittings such as kitchen units, flooring, tiles or accessories, as well as choosing the preferred location within the development.”

Once finished, the whole Agusta Park site will consist of more than 700 properties.

The major development also includes plans for a new primary school, two children’s play areas and a selection of small shops.

The development’s name was inspired by the Italian helicopter manufacturer Agusta, which in July 2000 merged with Westland Helicopters to form AgustaWestland – one of Yeovil’s largest employers and an important part of the town’s economy.
