SOUTH SOMERSET NEWS: Angie’s blooming marvellous for Ilminster Christmas Lights

A CHEQUE for £500 was presented to Ilminster Christmas Lights Committee earlier today (Thursday, February 4, 2016) by local florist Angie Blackwell.

The money raised by Angie and her girls at Cottage Flowers in East Street, Ilminster, from her Christmas floral design demonstrations which were held throughout last November at The Minster Rooms.

Lights committee chairman Clinton Bonner said: “We would like to thank Angie and her team at Cottage Flowers for their continued support of the Christmas lights in the town. It is very much appreciated.”

Christmas morning demonstrations will be held again this year at Ilminster’s Warehouse Theatre - on Thursday, November 10, 2016, and Wednesday, November 16, 2016.

Angie said: “Cottage Flowers thank everyone who again supported the events and helped raise this amazing amount for the Ilminster Christmas lights.”
