LEISURE: Ilminster Entertainments Society needs a King!
THE Ilminster Entertainments Society is on the lookout for a wannabe thespian who fancies himself as a King.
The IES and its Ilminster Youth Theatre Group is performing the classic tale – The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe – at the Warehouse Theatre in Ilminster from March 10-12, 2016. There will be evening performances at 7.30pm along with a 2.30pm matinee show on March 12, 2016.
But the group is in need of an adult male to play the part of a King in the four performances.
It is only a small role with a few lines of speech – but could be suited to anyone who fancies treading the boards for the first time or wants to return to the stage from previous am-dram experience.
Any budding Kings wanting further details – please email nicola@thewarehousetheatre.org.uk or mandsyoung@talktalk.net .
The IES production - based on the famous children’s book written by C. S. Lewis - has been penned and directed by Malcolm Young.
Tickets are priced £8.50 for adults and £5 for students and children. They are available from Lanes Garden Shop in Silver Street, Ilminster, or by phoning 07943-779880.
