YEOVIL Town will have to pull out all the stops in 2016 to ensure that they do not suffer an inconceivable third successive relegation.

The Glovers close 2015 in bottom place of the Sky Bet League Two table – despite gaining a point this afternoon (Monday, December 28, 2015) in a 0-0 draw at home to title-chasing Oxford United.

A 3-1 win for fellow strugglers Dagenham and Redbridge at Stevenage saw them jump above Yeovil, while York City gained a point in a 1-1 draw at Mansfield..

Oxford, who have slipped from second to third in the table, dominated the game for long periods and were continually denied by their hosts.

Yeovil came close to breaking the deadlock in the first-half when midfielder Josh Sheehan hit the woodwork.

The Glovers have now got a massive game coming up on Saturday (January 2, 2016) when they play host to York City who are just two points above them in the league.

It is going to be a hugely important game for both teams.
