YEOVIL NEWS: Toaster fire at Welland Road

FIREFIGHTERS from Yeovil were called out following reports of a kitchen fire at a home in the town.

The alarm was raised at just before 6.15pm yesterday (Christmas Day, Friday, December 25, 2015) at Welland Road. Two fire engines from Yeovil were mobilised.

Firefighters discovered that the fire involved a toaster.

“The cause of the fire was accidental which resulted in moderate damage to the toaster and slight damage to the kitchen,” said a spokesman for the Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service.
