SOUTH SOMERSET NEWS: Panto group run Guildhall cafe - oh yes they are!

THE Chard Amateur Theatre Society is running the café in the Guildhall in Chard every Thursday from now until Christmas to help raise funds for costumes for its forthcoming panto.

There is currently nobody wanting to take up the café franchise, so CATS have stepped in to raise vital funds ahead of their panto planned for January.

A CATS spokesman said: “We are currently selling breakfasts, tea and coffee and home made cakes.

“We are happy to talk to anyone who would like a wider service, but we are not a catering firm so we would waste a lot of food if we tried to be too ambitious.”
