SOUTH SOMERSET NEWS: Arson attack at Merriott

ARSONISTS are believed to have deliberately set on fire a van at Merriott during the early hours of this morning (Monday, October 12, 2015).

A fire engine from Crewkerne were mobilised at just before 5am to the incident in Hitchen.

A Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: “On arrival the crew confirmed that the fire in the van was already out, but it was believed to have been started deliberately so police were also requested to attend.”
