SOUTH SOMERSET NEWS: Fraud and forgery at Stoke-sub-Hamdon

POLICE are hoping someone might be able to recognise the man in this picture which was taken at 7pm on Tuesday, August 25, 2015, in the Co-operative store in Stoke-sub-Hamdon.

The man went up to a member of staff on the tills and requested changing money into smaller denominations.

He then changed his mind, asking for different denominations, to the point that the member of staff had got confused.

The suspect then snatched all the money from the cashier’s hand and left the store.

A police spokesman said: “Staff have since determined that the man had taken £110 more than he came in with.”
