GLOVERS NEWS: Yeovil Town win through to next round

YEOVIL Town won through to the Second Round of the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy cup competition tonight (Tuesday, September 1, 2015) with a lacklustre 1-0 win over Barnet.

The all-important moment came midway through the first-half when Barnet’s Bira Dembele scored an own goal by slicing a Harry Cornick cross into the net – which proved enough to put Yeovil through to the Second Round.

But the game will not stay long in the memory for the 1,203 fans within Huish Park as it was far from entertaining.

But a win is a win and Yeovil boss Paul Sturrock will be pleased to see his side through to the next round of the competition.

Next up for Yeovil is the visit of former Conference rivals Morecambe to Huish Park on Saturday (September 5, 2015) in the Sky Bet League Two.
