SOMERSET NEWS: Girl, 15, trapped in rollercoaster

A TEENAGER had to be rescued by firefighters yesterday (Sunday, August 30, 2015) after getting stuck on a rollercoaster near Burnham-on-Sea.

The Fire Service was called out at just after 8pm to the Brean Leisure Park at Brean after getting reports of a 15-year-old girl being trapped within the footwell of a rollercoaster car.

Firefighters from Burnham and Taunton were mobilised to deal with the incident, while paramedics were also in attendance.

The front of the rollercoaster carriage had to be removed to help in the release of the girl.
