YEOVIL NEWS: Fast lane for Wessex Truck Show

FINAL preparations are being made ahead of next weekend's Wessex Truck Show which will be held  at the Yeovil Showground.

Nearly 500 trucks – of all shapes and sizes – are booked in to attend the Carnival of Trucking at the Showground on August 8-9, 2015.

But there is much more to the show than just trucks. There will be live music, a licensed bar, trade stands, refreshments, a funfair, children’s entertainment, craft fair and a display of model trucks with the South West Remote Control Trucks and the Mendip Models group.

Dave Cross, of Wessex Truck Show, said: “Obviously the show is about the trucks and their drivers.

“People can come along and see at least 450 trucks a their best including the 72ft long Oshkosh 1070F 8x8 wheel drive heavy military transporter, capable of transporting over 70 tons.

“There will be American trucks on display including an original ice road truck used on the icy roads of Northern America and Canada.”YEOVIL NEWS: Fast lane for Wessex Truck Show
