SOUTH SOMERSET NEWS: Ilminster bathroom fire
FIREFIGHTERS were sent out this morning (Monday, July 27, 2015) to deal with reports of a gas cylinder on fire in a bathroom at a home in Ilminster.
Fire engines from Ilminster, Chard and Crewkerne were mobilised at just after 10.30am to the incident in Eames Orchard.
Firefighters had to gain access into the first-floor bathroom to tackle the fire and remove a blow torch and a one-litre gas cylinder from the property.
A Fire Service spokesman said: “The blow torch and cylinder were confirmed not to be involved in the small fire which caused slight heat and fire damage to the bathroom.”
