LIVE MUSIC: The Enemy gig is cancelled at last minute

A CONCERT at Westland leisure complex in Yeovil tonight (Friday, July 24, 2015) with The Enemy has been cancelled just hours before the band was due to take to the stage.

The Enemy has announced on social media that tonight’s show is “being rescheduled due to unforeseen health and safety reasons.”

“Please stay tuned for further information,” said the statement on The Enemy’s Facebook page.

The Yeovil Press understands that the band was unhappy with the crowd barriers which had been installed at the front of the auditorium.

The Enemy, an indie rock band, saw its debut album We’ll Live and Die in These Towns go straight to number one in the UK Album chart in 2007.

The band has had further success with albums Music for the People in 2009 and Streets in the Sky in 2012.

The Enemy’s fourth album, It’s Automatic, is due to be released in October later this year.

Fans have already been speaking of their disappointment at news of tonight's cancellation.
