YEOVIL NEWS: Two women attacked in stabbing incident - one man arrested

A MAN remains in police custody today (Monday, June 29, 2015) after a stabbing incident in Yeovil last night.

The suspect was detained by a member of the public after attacking two women outside in King Arthur’s Drive just before 7.30pm.

DI Lindsay Shearlock said: "I must praise a man who bravely tackled the suspect. A second man should be commended for taking the most seriously injured victim to hospital."

A 17-year-old woman remains in a critical condition in hospital, while a second woman was released from hospital after treatment to an arm injury.

King Arthur’s Drive was cordoned off overnight and is expected to remain closed today for further crime scene investigation.
