YEOVIL NEWS: Two men left injured after alleged gang attack

FOUR men have been arrested following what is believed to have been an unprovoked attack on two people in Yeovil town centre.

At about 11.30pm on Saturday (May 23, 2015), two men were allegedly assaulted by a group of males in South Street, Yeovil.

The victims had just left the Globe Inn when they were set about by the assailants.

A police spokesman said: “This appears to have been an unprovoked attack, the victims sustained injuries requiring hospital treatment and were allegedly robbed of wallets and mobile phones.

“We would like to appeal to anybody who may have witnessed the incident, or have information concerning what happened and those involved.”

Four men between the ages of 20 and 27 have been arrested in connection with this incident, and bailed while investigations continue.
