PUB NEWS: Beer and cider festival at the Brewers Arms

THE 21st beer festival at the Brewers Arms in South Petherton has started today (Friday, May 22, 2015) and visitors will be able to enjoy a fine array of real ales and ciders.

People have this afternoon been enjoying “happy hour” festivities and indulging in some cheaper drinks to get the festival up and running.

Tomorrow (Saturday, May 23, 2015) the festival will be open all day from 9am for people wanting a good fulsome breakfast, while the festival bar will be open from 11.30am.

There will be the traditional maggot racing from 1.30pm for the afternoon pub-goers to enjoy.

In the evening there will be live music with Ian Kenna from 9.30pm and a late evening barbecue.

The Brewers will be open all day on Sunday (May 24, 2015) from 12noon. During the afternoon there will be maggot racing from 1pm and a Yard of Ale competition at 3.30pm.

Old Skool will be providing the Sunday evening music from 9.30pm and there will again be a late evening barbecue.

And if you still want more – the Brewers will be open on Bank Holiday Monday (May 25, 2015) from 11.30am.
