YEOVIL NEWS: Dog left abandoned at country park

AN APPEAL has gone out for the owner of this adorable little friendly dog to come forward after he was found abandoned in Yeovil Country Park.

They say a dog is a man’s best friend, but for this little pooch that is not the case. Found abandoned under a bush at Yeovil Country Park on Tuesday (May 19, 2015), this crossbred light tan male terrier is very friendly but also nervous. It’s believed he is just one year old.

South Somerset District Council’s environmental enforcement officers are appealing for the owner to come forward or for more information from anyone who may recognise him.

Lyndsey Williams said: “He is a lovely little dog who will make a great companion for someone who can give him plenty of attention, although he may suffer from separation anxiety initially.

"We would like to find his owner so if anyone recognises him, please contact the dog warden on 01935-462462 with any information."

If anyone would like to give him or any other dog a loving home, please contact St Giles Kennels at Wrantage on 01823-490333. An owner of a stray dog has up to seven days to claim their pet otherwise he or she is put up for adoption.
