LEISURE: Octagon thrilled as Gracie shines on Britain's Got Talent

THE Octagon Theatre was delighted to see one of its former Let Me Entertain You finalists take part in Britain’s Got Talent on Saturday (May 16, 2015).

Gracie Wickens-Sweet took part in the LMEY 2013 competition at the Octagon in Yeovil and beautifully sang the lesser known Disney song Part of the Heart of the Sky.

Now the 11-year-old is hoping to go a long way in the ITV show after getting four yeses from the celebrity judges on Saturday in Britain’s Got Talent.

She wowed Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, David Walliams and Alesha Dixon with her amazing performance of Somewhere Over The Rainbow and went through to the next round of the hit show.

Gracie, who lives in Somerset, was described by Simon Cowell as “really cute and really likeable” – while Amanda Holden said it was a “fantastic” performance.

An Octagon spokesman said: “We were delighted to see Gracie Wickens-Sweet on Britain’s Got Talent on Saturday.

“It is great to know that she is progressing so well with her wonderful voice.”
