ELECTION DAY 2015: Voting has begun

THE polls have opened this morning (Thursday, May 7, 2015) for people to vote in the General Election and local elections.

While most eyes will be on the General Election and who wins locally here in the Yeovil constituency, there will also be various seats available on South Somerset District Council and various town and parish councils.

The polls opened at 7am and will remain open until 10pm tonight for people to cast their votes.

People are being reminded of the importance of voting – even if they are not particularly bothered about politics or who wins.
