The civic evening was held to thank the organisations and individuals that provide a variety of voluntary work in Yeovil.

The entertainment included performances by Birchfield Community Primary School Choir, Yetminster Irish Dancers, The Octagon Choir, The Dance Factory and Castaways Theatre Group.

And Cllr Lock said: “Wow! What a treat for everyone who went to see the concert. It was an excellent evening of entertainment.

“My guests have told me how much they enjoyed the performances, and it was wonderful to see the audience show their appreciation with a well-deserved standing ovation for the performers at the end of the show.

“Congratulations to everyone involved.”

Cllr Lock and the Mayoress, Cllr Pauline Lock, would also like to thank those companies and individuals that have supported the Mayor in his tenure over the past year.
