SOMERSET NEWS: Tumble dryer fire at home

A MAN needed medical assistance tonight (Thursday, April 30, 2015) following a fire at a property in Taunton.

Three fire engines from the town were called out at just after 9pm following reports of a fire involving a tumble dryer in a home in South Street.

A Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: “Crews confirmed the fire and requested an ambulance for one male suffering from smoke inhalation.”

The spokesman added: “The cause of the fire was accidental which resulted moderate damage to the property by fire and slight smoke damage to the kitchen.”
