SOUTH SOMERSET NEWS: Arson attack in Barwick

ARSONISTS are being blamed for a car fire during the early hours of this morning (Saturday, April 25, 2015) at Barwick.

The alarm was raised at 2.30am to the incident in Church Lane where a member of the public told the Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service that a vehicle, which had previously been reported to the police, was now on fire.

One fire engine from Yeovil attended the scene and officers quickly brought the situation under control.

A Fire Service spokesman said: “The vehicle was completely destroyed by fire and details have been passed the police as this was believed to have been started deliberately.”
